WELCOME TO NEVADA ARTS COUNCIL’S CultureGrants OnlineSM
Beginning in FY11, most Nevada Arts Council (NAC) grant applications must be submitted via CultureGrants OnlineSM (CGO) the NAC online-grant system. This system will allow you to complete NAC applications online at your own pace, and then just “click” to submit.
During the past year, NAC staff and board have examined NAC’s grant making process in consultation with constituents and panelists. It is our goal to help applicants create stronger and more competitive grants, while streamlining the process wherever possible while maintaining our accountability and adhering to state and federal reporting requirements.
CGO applicants should experience an application process that is user-friendly and that prevents critical errors that can jeopardize funding eligibility. Other advantages include: (1) flexible online system that saves your document as you work; (2) automatic budget calculations; (3) cleaner application forms resulting in time saved for program staff to work with constituents; (4) internal database monitoring to assist grantees more efficiently; (5) more effective grantee tracking; and (6) streamlined state and federal reporting.
The Grant Application Process now consists of two parts:
- The CGO Grant Application Form, including applicant profile, narrative, and budget submitted electronically by the posted deadline.
- The Application Packet that includes a paper copy of the Signature Page (formerly the Authorization Form) with original signatures (in blue ink) and all required supplemental materials for each specific grant category. The packet is to be received by the NAC no later than one week after the CGO application deadline.
The Artist Fellowship Application Process now consists of two parts:
- The CGO Artist Fellowship Application Form, including applicant profile and answers to application questions submitted electronically by the posted deadline.
- The Artist Fellowship Application Packet submitted to the NAC Carson City office by the postmark deadline.
NEVADA ARTS COUNCIL GRANTS
Public funding from the Nevada Arts Council (NAC) demonstrates the State of Nevada’s conviction that the arts play an invaluable role for citizens and communities alike. The importance of these dollars reaches far beyond actual cash value — they serve as a catalyst for other public and private support while bringing the arts to Nevadans across the Silver State.
A grant from the NAC is a strategic partnership with our state's creative infrastructure. In this critical time, a strong arts infrastructure is critical to making Nevada’s communities - large and small, urban and rural - desirable places to live and work, and Nevada’s education system one that provides our students with creative thinking tools to compete in the global workforce. Nevada’s arts industry is crucial to the diversity and vitality of Nevada’s economy, education system, and quality of life. We have a legacy of innovation and excellence. Together we can work to create a more prosperous future.
